How it plays

01

Build the board

Draft 37 hex tiles across six biomes — fields, forests, mountains, water, deserts, and cities. Place your city at the edge, deploy 4 starting units, and take your opponents’ tokens as hostages.

02

Return hostages to move

Each turn, return 1–3 of your opponents’ tokens to their forces on the board. Each return earns you one move — but directly reinforces the enemy. This tension is the engine of the game.

03

Move and attack

Infantry chains through same-biome terrain. Artillery jumps over occupied regions. Airborne drops exactly two hexes away and can slingshot through friendly bases. Attack by moving into enemy territory with superior strength.

04

Threaten annihilation

Build bases (4+ units), convert tokens into isotopes, and launch nuclear strikes that destroy everything in the target hex and all six surrounding hexes. Or trigger a Meltdown by overloading an enemy base.

NUCLEAR STRIKES

Launch from a Base.
Destroy everything

Convert units into isotopes. Launch from any Base. Jump over occupied hexes like Artillery. The target hex becomes permanent Biohazard — all units in the target and all six surrounding hexes are destroyed immediately. Including your own.

CORE MECHANICS

Simple components. Emergent complexity

44 hex tiles and 75 tokens — no miniatures, no dice, no hidden information.

Fluid units
Token count determines unit type. One token is Infantry, two is Artillery, three is Airborne, four or more is a Base. This changes constantly as tokens move and merge.
Hostage economy
Your opponent’s tokens are your fuel. Return them to move — but every return grows their forces. Run out and your city is destroyed.
Terrain & biomes
Six biome types with movement and safety restrictions. Infantry dies in water alone. Artillery can’t attack from forests. Mountains block Airborne without Base support.
Nuclear strikes
Launch from a Base, jump over occupied hexes like Artillery. Blast radius: target hex becomes Biohazard, all units in target + 6 surrounding hexes destroyed immediately.
