How it plays

01

Deploy from reserve

Return 1–3 of your own tokens from your off-board supply onto regions where you already have units. Each return earns one move. Your city starts with 4 units; your supply starts with 21.

02

Build through combat

The only way to get hostages is to capture them mid-game. Win combat with excess strength and take enemy units into your supply for future turns.

03

Two economies emerge

Your own supply tokens fuel early expansion. Enemy hostages, once captured, fuel rapid strikes. Both follow the same return-to-move mechanic but come from different places.

04

The endgame is familiar

Bases, isotopes, nuclear strikes, and Meltdowns all work identically to standard Nukes. Siege changes how you get there, not what you're fighting over.

WHAT CHANGES

Earn your hostages. Don’t start with them

Standard Nukes hands you leverage from turn one. Siege makes you earn it. The hostage economy still runs — you just have to build the supply yourself before you can spend it.

Own supply → own moves
Return your own tokens to build your force. The hostage economy only activates once you've won combat and taken enemy units.
Capture to escalate
Every unit you take in combat becomes a hostage you can return on future turns. Combat is now both offensive and economic.
