Nukes: Fallout

Biohazard tiles spread each round. Every nuclear strike leaves a growing contamination zone. City tiles are immune to spread. Win before the map runs out.

How it plays

01

The board degrades

Every nuclear strike or Meltdown creates a Biohazard that will spread each round. The map shrinks from the sites of past violence.

02

Early nukes poison the centre

Launching nuclear strikes on contested central territory in mid-game may cut off your own movement corridors by late game.

03

Territory becomes precious

As Biohazard zones spread, viable regions for Infantry chaining, Artillery jumping, and Airborne landing shrink. Late game forces confrontations neither player planned.

04

Win before the map does

City destruction remains the win condition. But a long game of attrition now ends with both armies squeezed into an ever-smaller safe zone.

WHAT CHANGES

A nuke ends the battle. Fallout ends the war

Play fast or play into the poison.

Biohazard spreads
Each round, every existing Biohazard tile converts one adjacent non-city tile. The first player chooses direction. Newly converted tiles don't spread until next round.
City tiles are immune
Spread cannot convert city tiles. Cities can still be destroyed by direct nuke or Meltdown — they just don't become Biohazard from adjacency.
