How it plays

01

Build the board

Deal 61 hexagonal tiles into four concentric rings around a hidden ending tile. Every game gets a completely different map from the same set of tiles.

02

Move by region

Roll D4 in the outer ring, D3 in the river and middle regions, or move one adjacent tile in the inner ring. Region boundaries create natural chokepoints.

03

Encounter tiles

Land on tiles to draw cards, visit shops, fight monsters, or trigger special encounters. All original Talisman 4e adventure cards work unchanged.

04

Reach the ending

Navigate inward through the sentinel, portal of power, and valley of fire. Discard a talisman to reveal the hidden ending tile and face its challenge.

THE BOARD

Four rings. One hidden ending

Each ring has its own movement rules, tile types, and access restrictions. Navigate inward to reach the ending.

🌍
Outer Ring (24 tiles)
City, Village, Tavern, Chapel, Forest, Graveyard, Crags, and draw-card fields. Roll D4 for movement. Access middle region only via the Sentinel.
🌊
River Ring (18 tiles)
10 water tiles (need a raft to cross), 4 deserts (need a water bottle), plus the Oasis and Hidden Valley. Roll D3 for movement.
⚔️
Middle Ring (12 tiles)
Portal of Power, Warlock's Cave, Temple, Castle, Black Knight, and Chasm. Roll D3 for movement. Access inner region via Portal of Power.
💀
Inner Ring (6 tiles)
Valley of Fire, Crypt, Death, Werewolf's Den, Mines, and Vampire's Tower. Move one adjacent tile only. Discard a talisman at Valley of Fire to reach the ending.
